Gib made his first box at age 14 in shop class for a girlfriend. Lisa did her first layout work with rub-on letters and graphic tape in a college journalism class. Neither one of us ever imagined we’d find each other, merge our talents, and live the dream of owning a small Mom-and-Pop business together in the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
It took a while. We both had careers in other professions, but slowly, over the course of the past 15 years, our little “hobby business” grew into the real thing. Gib quit his day job, and Lisa is currently about to retire early from hers.
We're blessed to be able to blend wood & words into wood wares that stimulate discussion, inspire laughter, capture memories ~ in short, things that help people
enjoy and celebrate life!
